Breaking Glass Pictures has announced the North American VOD release of Nesting, a French-language psychological thriller from director Chloé Cinq-Mars, arriving on digital platforms on May 29, 2026. The film arrives with serious festival credentials: Cinq-Mars took home the Best Director Award at the Fantasia Film Festival (2025), and the film screened at Fantastic Fest, the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, the Vancouver International Film Festival, and the SOHO Horror Film Festival, among others.

Nesting follows Pénélope (Rose-Marie Perreault), a new mother whose postpartum depression and unresolved grief over her sister’s death begin to erode her grip on reality. As sleep deprivation deepens and the line between dream and waking life collapses, she spirals into a paranoid and increasingly dangerous psychological descent. The film evokes the suffocating dread of Rosemary’s Baby and mother! while bringing an intimate, distinctly modern perspective to its subject.

Perreault anchors the film with a fearless performance, and the supporting cast includes Simon Landry-Desy, Saladin Dellers, Marie Bélanger, and Alex Lauzon. The film is produced by 1976 Productions.

Ahead of its digital bow, Nesting will receive a special one-night theatrical event on May 26 at select Alamo Drafthouse Cinema locations nationwide, including Los Angeles (DTLA), New York (Brooklyn, Lower Manhattan), Chicago (Wrigleyville), and San Francisco (New Mission), among others.

“We’ve seen strong success working with Rich Wolff, CEO of Breaking Glass Pictures, on our previous arthouse genre titles in North America, and we’re excited to have Nesting join their slate,” said Miguel, Sales Agent at Alief.
