Universal Studios Hollywood will introduce an all-new live performance, ONE PIECE: Grand Pirate Show, during this year’s Universal Fan Fest Nights. The stunt-driven stage production will debut April 23 and run on select nights through May 16, 2026, at the park’s WaterWorld venue.

Inspired by the popular production at Universal Studios Japan, the show places guests in the middle of an adventure set on Midori Island, a mysterious outpost from the world of ONE PIECE. The story follows the Straw Hat Crew—Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, and Chopper—as they search the island for a rare resource known as Pop Greens.

The mission quickly escalates when the Marines arrive, blasting open the island gates and triggering a series of staged battles featuring stunt work, pyrotechnics, and large-scale action sequences. Audience members seated in the surrounding arena watch as the conflict unfolds across the set.

Rival pirate Buggy also enters the scene, creating additional chaos as he attempts to seize the Pop Greens for himself. The approximately 20-minute performance concludes with a dramatic escape and celebration as the Straw Hat Crew pushes forward on their adventure.

ONE PIECE: Grand Pirate Show is part of Universal Fan Fest Nights, an after-hours ticketed event celebrating fan-favorite franchises through immersive environments, live entertainment, character encounters, themed food, merchandise, and photo opportunities.

Universal Fan Fest Nights will take place for 12 select evenings at Universal Studios Hollywood on April 23–25, May 1–3, May 7–9, and May 14–16, 2026.

Universal Fan Fest Nights will also feature the following in-world experiences:

• Scooby-Doo Meets the Universal Monsters: Mystery on the Backlot – Guests step into an interactive mystery with Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang. After arriving via the Studio Tour tram, visitors explore sections of Universal’s historic backlot while attempting to solve a case involving classic Universal Monsters including Frankenstein, Dracula, the Bride of Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man. The adventure travels through iconic filming locations such as Little Europe and the Court of Miracles.

• ONE PIECE: Grand Pirate Show – A live stage production at the WaterWorld venue featuring fan-favorite characters from the ONE PIECE franchise. The show combines action, comedy, and theatrical spectacle inspired by the popular Universal Studios Japan presentation.

• The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Forbidden Forest: A Search for the Hippogriff – A walk-through adventure that sends guests into the Forbidden Forest to locate a missing Hippogriff. Guided by a Hogwarts professor, visitors encounter magical creatures and overcome challenges requiring courage and teamwork.

• SUPER NINTENDO WORLD — Colorful Yoshi Celebration – A themed experience inviting guests to explore the Mushroom Kingdom while discovering a variety of colorful Yoshis appearing throughout the land.

• DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Secrets of Waterdeep – Returning by popular demand, this immersive experience invites guests to join the Harpers, a heroic spy network, to stop the notorious beholder Xanathar and protect the legendary city of Waterdeep.
