Fans of found footage horror are in for a treat as POV: The Found Footage Project arrives at QUAD on Saturday, November 22, offering a day-long showcase of films exploring the ever-evolving subgenre. The event will feature a mix of shorts, independent features, and a modern classic—each celebrating the raw, immersive energy that defines found footage storytelling.

The day begins at 1:00 p.m. with the Short Film Showcase, highlighting Royston Vale Road (directed by Chris Annable) and Exhibit B (directed by David Gregory), followed by a live Q&A with both filmmakers. At 2:15 p.m., Beyond The Witching Hour screens, a Midlands-based story from John Williams about two paranormal YouTubers investigating a dark local legend.

The program continues at 4:30 p.m. with In Our Blood, an acclaimed U.S. entry that follows aspiring filmmaker Emily Wyland as her search for her missing mother leads to disturbing revelations. At 6:30 p.m., It Doesn’t Get Any Better Than This—directed by and starring Rachel Kempf and Nick Toti—offers a unique cinema-only experience that has built a devoted cult following. The night concludes with a screening of the genre classic [REC], one of Spain’s most influential horror films, known for redefining found footage storytelling.

Each feature will be paired with a short film, introducing emerging talent in the genre. Event coordinator Alex Davis noted that the program reflects how found footage continues to inspire innovative voices in horror.

Tickets and festival passes are available now at derbyquad.co.uk/pov or in person at the QUAD Box Office.
