Quiver Distribution has secured worldwide rights to KillTrip, the latest horror thriller from filmmaker Kristian McKay. The film is scheduled for a U.S. release on July 17, following its acquisition.

Shot on location in Bastrop, Texas, KillTrip features a cast led by Samaire Armstrong, Corin Nemec, Stelio Savante, Todd Jenkins, and Brittany McVicker, alongside a group of emerging performers including Tate Christensen, Diletta Guglielmi, Violeta Ortega, Maya Hendricks, Chase Breithoff, Katherine Franco, and Brian Latimer. Musician John Ford Coley also appears in the film.
The story follows a group of friends traveling to a Texas music festival who find themselves stranded after their vehicle breaks down. Accepting help from a quiet van driver, they are taken to an isolated town where their situation begins to shift. As night falls and members of the group start to disappear, the environment turns increasingly uncertain, and their chances of reaching their destination begin to diminish.
McKay, who both wrote and directed the project, describes the film as focused on transitional moments and gradual tension. KillTrip marks his first American feature and follows his earlier work Ventaja, which earned recognition at several film festivals and received a theatrical run in 2019.
The film is produced by Daunesh Alcott and McKay under Obscura Films. The acquisition deal was brokered by Savante on behalf of the filmmakers and Larry Greenberg for Quiver Distribution. McKay is expected to begin production on his next film, Do Not Open, later this summer in Texas.
