Samuel Goldwyn Films has secured North American rights to Cold Storage, an upcoming sci-fi comedy from Studiocanal, for a wide theatrical release in 2025. The film features a cast led by Joe Keery (Stranger Things), Georgina Campbell (Barbarian), and Sosie Bacon (Smile), with supporting roles from Vanessa Redgrave, Lesley Manville, and Liam Neeson.

Directed by Jonny Campbell (Dracula), Cold Storage is based on the novel by screenwriter David Koepp, known for Jurassic Park and Mission: Impossible. The project is produced by Gavin Polone (Zombieland, Panic Room) alongside Koepp.

The story follows Teacake (Keery) and Naomi (Campbell), employees of a self-storage facility located on a former U.S. military site. Their routine night shift takes a dangerous turn when a government-sealed parasitic fungus is accidentally unleashed from the building’s sublevels. As the temperature rises, the rapidly mutating microorganism spreads, threatening to infect and control all living organisms in the facility.
With the survival of humanity at stake, Teacake, Naomi, and a retired bioterrorism expert played by Liam Neeson must act fast to contain the outbreak.
The acquisition deal was finalized by Samuel Goldwyn Films’ Miles Fineburg and Studiocanal representatives Chloe Marquet, Charlotte Lopez, and Sophie Leuthreau.
