Today we share another morsel of creepy yuletide goodness. As part of the 25 Days of Christmas Horror.
Silent Night, Deadly Night
“Silent Night, Deadly Night” is the story of a handsome young bachelor, Billy Chapman, who enjoys dressing up in a Santa Claus outfit and killing people in his free time. Released during the height of the slasher craze and originally titled “Slayride”, (changed at the last minute, presumably to avoid being mistaken for the A-Team pilot “Mexican Slayride”) “Silent Night, Deadly Night” was a pioneer in branching horror films out from Halloween to every season imaginable and must be given some credit for why a list of the top Christmas horror films can be a thing that exists. Also no, this is not where the “Garbage Day” meme comes from, that would be “Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2” so you’re going to have to wait a little longer for that one.
