Metrograph Pictures has unveiled the official poster for GAZER, a psychological thriller set to open in theaters on April 4, 2025. Directed by Ryan J. Sloan, the film follows a young mother, played by co-writer Ariella Mastroianni, who experiences a rare condition that alters her perception of time. Desperate to secure her daughter’s future, she takes a dangerous job from a woman with a dark past, leading her into a web of deception and violence.

The film stars Mastroianni alongside Marcia Debonis, Renee Gagner, Jack Alberts, and Tommy Kang. Sloan and Mastroianni not only co-wrote the screenplay but also served as producers.

Shot on 16mm film over two years while Sloan worked as an electrician and Mastroianni in film programming, GAZER is described as a modern take on the paranoia thrillers of the 1970s and 1980s. The project, completed on a modest budget, blends psychological tension with a visual aesthetic reminiscent of classic genre cinema.

More details on GAZER’s theatrical rollout are expected as its April release approaches.
