Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group, has acquired North American VOD rights to the adventure-horror feature SQUATCH. The film will debut on digital HD internet, cable, VOD, and satellite platforms on March 10, 2026.
Directed by Tom Chaney and written by Chaney and Bill Conger, SQUATCH follows Nick Peters, a young man who inherits a remote cabin in the northern woods from the estranged father he never knew. Reluctant to confront the past, Nick considers walking away until a coworker joins him for what is meant to be a brief trip. The weekend soon shifts course as the pair find themselves facing a legendary presence that no longer intends to remain hidden.
The cast includes Jack Chaney as Nick Peters, Cassandra Schomer as Kate Peters, Paige Weishuhn as Cassie, and Jacob Southwick as the creature known as Squatch. Producers include Tom Chaney, Jerry Land, Lawrence Berman, Andrew Ruth, and Susan Chaney, with executive producers Scott Agge, Robert Chames, George Ziyadeh, and Charles Chaney.
Freestyle Digital Media negotiated the acquisition directly with the filmmakers and Glen Reynolds of Circus Road Films. SQUATCH will be available to rent or own across North American VOD platforms beginning March 10, 2026.
