A recovering drug addict seeks to push his recovery by staying at a cabin deep in the country away from most of civilization. Fearing to face it alone, he invites a friend to join him, who gladly accepts thinking this is something her friend truly needs through his trying time. During his stay, he begins to witness unusual and terrifying things before his eyes. He is unable to determine if what he sees is real or simply an excruciating part of the process to recovery. If this wasn’t bad enough, a local sheriff terrorizes him during this whole epidemic.

Synopsis: In a rural mountain town, an unstable drug addict must unravel a surreal murder mystery as he’s terrorized by malevolent ghosts, a deranged sheriff, and the frightening hallucinations from his withdrawal.

Trailer Thoughts- The mental stability of your mind looks to be challenged here. This appears to be a great opportunity to be genuinely terrified. Not only is it horrifying to have terrors haunt the place in which you’re staying, but to not be certain if they are real or not is something that slowly eats away at you like a flesh-eating disease.

Dry Blood (2017) | Dread Central Presents Official Trailer - Out 1/15/19

“Clint and I set out to make our favorite horror movie. We wanted to make a film that was true to the genre and lived up to the potential of what a great horror film could be. We knew this would be an ambitious task. We hold such a great love for the genre and the masters of cinema who had shaped our childhoods. We felt the best way to honor them was to pour our hearts and souls into making DRY BLOOD. We knew our toughest audience would be ourselves and we strived to make a film that we were truly proud of. I feel very grateful to have been able to be a part of such an amazing project, made with love, by people I love. I am beyond thrilled to be releasing this film with Dread Presents. We set out to make our favorite film; my hope is that it becomes your favorite film as well.”
