Clown in a Cornfield, the upcoming horror adaptation of Adam Cesare’s award-winning novel, is heading to drive-in theaters nationwide for a special pre-release event on May 2–3. Participating drive-in chains—West Wind, Four Brothers, and Galaxy—will offer attendees an exclusive Clown in a Cornfield poster, while supplies last. This limited weekend preview comes ahead of the film’s nationwide theatrical release on May 9.

The film had its world premiere at the 2025 SXSW Film and TV Festival and has since earned a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Directed by Eli Craig (Tucker and Dale vs Evil), and co-written by Craig and Carter Blanchard, Clown in a Cornfield features a cast that includes Katie Douglas (Ginny & Georgia), Carson MacCormac (Shazam!), Aaron Abrams (Hannibal), Will Sasso (The Three Stooges), and Kevin Durand (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes).

Set in the small town of Kettle Springs, the story follows Quinn and her father as they attempt a new beginning. However, they soon find themselves in the middle of a divided community haunted by economic collapse and local unrest. When a masked figure known as Frendo the clown emerges from the cornfields, the town’s problems turn deadly.

Tickets and additional drive-in event details are available through the film’s dedicated drive-in page HERE.
