Faces of Death will arrive in theaters on April 10, 2026. Directed by Daniel Goldhaber and written by Isa Mazzei and Goldhaber, the film revisits the premise of the controversial original series while shifting the story into a modern digital environment.

The film stars Barbie Ferreira as a content moderator working for a major online video platform. During routine review work, she begins encountering disturbing clips that appear to recreate violent scenes associated with the original Faces of Death film.

As the footage becomes increasingly difficult to dismiss, she begins questioning whether the material is staged or documenting real crimes. With the videos circulating through anonymous corners of the internet, the investigation becomes a race to determine whether the violence exists only on screen or is unfolding in real time.

The cast also includes Dacre Montgomery and Josie Totah. The film continues the original concept’s focus on the uneasy line between staged media and real-world violence, exploring how that ambiguity plays out in the context of modern online platforms.
