THE ONLY ONE, a throwback slasher starring Mel Jarnson (Mortal Kombat) and Saphira Moran (Beast), is set to premiere at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival this October.

Directed by Michael Schwarz, THE ONLY ONE follows Zoe (Jarnson), who returns to her small Australian hometown after a decade chasing an acting career in Los Angeles, only to be ambushed by a parade of old flames at a friend’s wedding. When those exes start turning up dead, killed one by one by a masked figure dressed as a storybook “Prince Charming,” suspicion falls on Zoe, and she teams up with a group of old friends to clear her name and unmask the killer.

The film leans hard into the slasher revival, pulling from the tangled relationships of Obsession, the broad comedy of There’s Something About Mary, and the body count of Wes Craven’s Scream. Jarnson and Moran are joined by Aaron Glenane, John Kim, Lincoln Younes, and Sam Delich in the 100-minute feature.

THE ONLY ONE is set to premiere at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival this October, with stars Mel Jarnson and Saphira Moran available for interviews ahead of the screening.
