Well Go USA Entertainment has unveiled the teaser trailer for FIRST LOVE, which first debuted at Comic Con’s “Superhero Kung Fu Extravaganza.” Takashi Miike fans rejoice.

The film is a noir-tinged yakuza film blending genres in the story of a young boxer and a call girl, who fall passionately in love while getting innocently caught up in a drug-smuggling scheme over the course of one night in Tokyo.

First Love made its first imprint at the Cannes “Directors’ Fortnight” 2019. Through neon lights and rainy nights, Miike’s trademark D.I.Y. style continues to shine in this trailer, not to mention an exciting collaboration with stars from one of his most notorious films: Ichi the Killer.

First Love will open in select theaters on September 27th, 2019.
