AMC and AMC+ have released the official trailer for this year’s FearFest, the annual month-long horror programming event. Award-winning artist, musician, and horror fan Janelle Monáe returns as the official host, bringing her creative energy to over 650 hours of horror content available throughout October.
The 2025 FearFest trailer, titled Carnival of Frights, was directed by Alan Ferguson, Monáe’s frequent collaborator. The spot features references to iconic horror characters including Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers, with Monáe presenting the celebration in her signature style.
Programming highlights include horror staples such as Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Final Destination, and selections from the Stephen King library, including It (2017), The Shining (45th Anniversary), and Misery (35th Anniversary). AMC+ subscribers will also find exclusive collections, including FearFest Favorites by Janelle Monáe.
New episodes of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon and the debut of Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order join the lineup, along with seasonal specials such as The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs: FearFest Double Feature presenting A Nightmare on Elm Street and Freddy vs. Jason.
Sponsors for this year’s event include BACARDÍ Rum and Kraft Heinz. BACARDÍ is also the title sponsor of Monáe’s annual Wondaween bash, while Kraft Heinz spotlights Velveeta through custom content and as sponsor of the Best of FearFest collection on AMC+.
