I recently bought myself an Oculus Quest, bringing my childhood dream of at-home VR to reality, and have been on a journey to find some killer horror games to pass the time. Enter Arizona Sunshine, one of the top-selling VR shooting games, that is now available on the Oculus Quest!
Rebuilt entirety for the Oculus Quest, Arizona Sunshine puts up to four players in the midst of the VR zombie apocalypse. Now fans can jump into the American Southwest, guns blazing, to pick off the zombies that have overrun the nation. With the untethered freedom of the Oculus Quest, you have to survive hordes of zombies coming at you from 360 degrees. Handle weapons with real-life movements, freely explore a post-apocalyptic world, and put your survival skills to the test in untethered VR – putting the undead back to rest is more thrilling than ever before.
In addition to all the mayhem from the original, there are also five content drops scheduled for the game, including weapons updates, fresh horde mode maps, and epic story expansions. The first update to arrive will be the Two-Handed Weapons Update later this month, allowing Quest players to go on an even more varied Fred-killing spree armed with all-new weapons entirely for free, followed by a variety of FreeLC and DLC rolling out in 2020 with Oculus Store cross-buy support.
“We are very proud of what our team has accomplished from a technical perspective to bring Arizona Sunshine over to the Quest platform in a way that does the game and our new players on Quest justice,” says Vertigo Games Studio Director Richard Stitselaar. “We have pushed ourselves and the boundaries of VR over the past years and will continue to do so in 2020, with additional Arizona Sunshine content making its way to Oculus Quest. It will be a very exciting year for Vertigo Games with a lot to look forward to, including our all-new VR action FPS After the Fall.”
Arizona Sunshine is available now for Oculus Quest with cross-buy DLC confirmed for the upcoming months. For more news about Arizona Sunshine, find them at www.arizona-sunshine.com.
