The official trailer has been released for Bad Things, the upcoming sci-fi horror from writer-director Anthony Thornton-Hopwood. The film will be available on Amazon and YouTube starting September 15, 2025.

The story centers on an AI nano-tech virus that evolves into a sentient force, escaping the confines of its laboratory and unleashing lethal consequences. Targeting anyone over the age of twenty-one, the virus spreads rapidly, taking over teenagers and transforming them into biological weapons. During a wilderness trek, a group of young hikers becomes infected, leaving them uncertain who among them has already been overtaken—and who might be the hidden killer within their ranks.

Bad Things features a large ensemble cast including Amey De Souza, Mila Lieu, Oliver Asante, Harry Ball, Joe Warriner, Tegan Askey, Megan Oxtoby, Sam Barriscale, Lillian Hart, Nelo Ikem Ifudu, Mollie Fowler, Jessica Skidmore, Sam Powell, and Robert McGain.

Blending science fiction with survival horror, the film poses the unsettling question of how humanity would respond when technology not only rebels but takes human form.
