Shudder has announced the streaming release of Night of the Reaper, arriving September 19, 2025. Directed by Brandon Christensen (Still/Born, Z, The Puppetman), the film blends suburban unease with a deadly mystery set against the backdrop of the 1980s.

The story follows Deena, a college student who reluctantly accepts a last-minute babysitting job in her quiet hometown. On the same evening, the local sheriff receives a mysterious package that launches him into a dangerous scavenger hunt. As he races against time, a lethal game of cat and mouse begins to unfold, drawing Deena into a nightmarish series of events that threaten her survival.

Written by Christensen alongside Ryan Christensen, the film stars Jessica Clement, Ryan Robbins, and Summer H. Howell. Known for exploring psychological and familial fears, Christensen continues his interest in horror that pushes beyond traditional genre boundaries, often incorporating daylight settings and everyday situations to intensify the threat.
