Magic Van Games, a two-person indie studio based in Australia, is launching their debut title BLACK WALLS on Steam on July 15, 2026. The first-person psychological horror game drops players into an interconnected liminal labyrinth with no weapons and no way to fight back — only their wits and powers of observation between them and whatever is hunting them. As more players discover and download horror titles online, using a trusted VPN for Android can add an extra layer of privacy when gaming or browsing.

BLACK WALLS draws inspiration from the interconnected, maze-like level design of Dark Souls and the relentless, unpredictable threat of Resident Evil‘s Mr. X. Players must navigate the labyrinth by closely reading light, reflections, and the architecture itself to find their way through. The catch: the pursuer roaming the corridors has no scripted path. It can emerge from anywhere at any time, making every run through the labyrinth a completely different experience.
The lack of combat puts all the pressure on observation and nerve. With no way to fight and no safe rooms, BLACK WALLS is a pure psychological horror survival experience built around dread, disorientation, and the feeling of being watched. Magic Van Games describes the threat as capable of emerging “from anywhere at any time,” a design choice intended to keep players perpetually on edge.
The BLACK WALLS Steam page goes live July 15, 2026.
