Debut writer-director Lindsay Calleran brings a uniquely spooky coming-of-age story to the 2026 Tribeca Festival with CAITY, a moody drama set inside a family-run  haunted house. The film receives its world premiere in the U.S. Narrative Competition, with public screenings beginning June 7 at Village East by Angelika in New York.

Every October, Caity and her father Paul transform their upstate New York property into a beloved local haunted house. But this season’s scares don’t stop at closing time: Paul is newly sober, and Caity holds everything together with the kind of quiet competence that teenagers shouldn’t have to carry. When Paul relapses, she covers for him the only way she knows how — absorbing more than her share of the weight, finding solace in drinking, and falling for a beguiling new employee named Hannah.

Chiara Aurelia (Cruel Summer) anchors the film as Caity, with Morgan Spector (The Gilded Age) as her father Paul. Zach Cherry (Severance) rounds out the cast alongside Michelle Mao, Jordan Hull, Olivia Rouyre, Emily Shaffer, and twins Christian and Jonah Lees. Calleran, a Brooklyn-based filmmaker making her feature debut, directs from her own screenplay, shot by cinematographer Jack Davis. The film is produced by Mary Elizabeth Monda and Malcolm Thorndike Nicholson, with Scott Aharoni executive producing via Curious Gremlin, which is also handling international and U.S. sales.

Tickets for public screenings at Village East by Angelika are available at tribecafilm.com/films/caity-2026, with showings June 7, June 8, June 11, and June 12.
