Independent Film Company has announced the June 5, 2026 theatrical and day-and-date VOD/digital release of CHUM, a survival thriller starring Alice Eve in which a destination wedding in Malta spirals into a blood-soaked fight for survival.

A dream getaway collapses into chaos when the wedding party’s idyllic Mediterranean escape is shattered by a bloodthirsty shark attack — and the discovery that a sinister fisherman with a hidden agenda has made them his next targets. Forced to choose between open water and a relentless human predator, the newlyweds and their guests must survive the night while secrets surface, loyalties crack, and the couple is pushed to the absolute limit. As the body count rises, the real question isn’t just who lives or dies — it’s who stays married.

CHUM is directed by Jonathan Zuck from a screenplay he co-wrote with Joe Leone. The film stars Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness, She’s Out of My League) alongside Eric Michael Cole, Jim Klock, Elle Haymond, Lisa Yaro, Johnny Gaffney, and Sarah Siadat.

Blending honeymoon-gone-wrong thriller mechanics with sharp-toothed creature horror and a sinister human villain, CHUM delivers two threats for the price of one against the gorgeous and unforgiving backdrop of the Maltese coast.

CHUM opens in select theaters and on VOD and digital platforms on June 5, 2026.
