Warner Bros. Pictures has released the final trailer for DC Studios’ Clayface, the horror thriller from director James Watkins (Eden Lake, The Woman in Black, Speak No Evil) that opens only in theaters in North America on October 23, 2026. International audiences get an early start, with the rollout beginning October 21.

Tom Rhys Harries (White Lines) stars as Matt Hagen, a Gotham street kid turned Hollywood leading man whose rise ends abruptly when a local crime boss leaves him horribly disfigured. Abandoned by his team, Hagen turns to a cutting-edge treatment that miraculously restores his face but loosens his grip on reality, sending him down a path of all-consuming revenge. Batman fans will recognize the name; horror fans will recognize the premise as body horror with a very large grudge.
The pedigree behind the camera is where things get interesting for this crowd. Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep) wrote the screenplay with Hossein Amini (Drive), from a story by Flanagan, and longtime Flanagan collaborator Trevor Macy serves as an executive producer. Naomi Ackie (Blink Twice), David Dencik, Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan, Nancy Carroll, and Joshua James co-star.
Matt Reeves, Lynn Harris, James Gunn, and Peter Safran produce. Watkins’ creative team includes cinematographer Rob Hardy (Ex Machina, Annihilation), production designer James Price, editor Jon Harris, and costume designer Keith Madden, with music by Volker Bertelmann.
Clayface opens exclusively in theaters on October 23, 2026.
