Horror journalist Jason Jenkins makes his novelist debut with the horror novel Connected, a high-speed thriller out now from Encyclopocalypse Publications in paperback, mass market paperback, and e-book. The publisher describes it as Man on Fire meets The Call by way of Halloween.

Katharine Keyes spends her nights helping stranded motorists through Blue Sky Wireless’s Connected Services: flat tires, dead batteries, lost drivers. Then she answers a call from Danny, who is charming, funny, and has just murdered a man. He has disabled every system meant to track his new car, leaving Kate as the only connection to him.

Danny claims his victims deserve what is coming. As the call stretches on, Kate must piece together clues from every word and sound before he reaches the end of his list, all while wondering whether the killer might be right.

Jenkins has written for Bloody Disgusting, Dread Central, and HorrorHound Magazine, and aims to filter the spirit of vintage horror paperbacks through a contemporary lens. Author Brian Keene (The Rising) calls the book “a high octane thriller that kicks into high gear within the first few pages and never slows down.”

Matt Serafini (Feeders) adds that it is “the kind of ‘anything goes’ shocker you might’ve bought off a spinner rack back in the day.”

The horror novel Connected is available now from Encyclopocalypse Publications. Review copies and author interviews are available through the publicist.
