Skybound and Image Comics have announced Creepshow Vol. 5 #1, the debut issue of the fifth volume of the Eisner Award-nominated horror anthology comic series, set to hit comic book shops and digital platforms on September 16, 2026. The issue features interior art and variant covers from Tyler Boss (Universal Monsters: Phantom of the Opera), Lorenzo De Felici (Void Rivals, Red Roots), and Francesca Ciregia (Spider-Man).

Based on Greg Nicotero’s Shudder TV series, the Creepshow comic packs two original horror stories into every issue — a format that’s made the anthology one of the most reliable horror reads in comics. Volume 5 continues that tradition with two new tales. In the first, Boss and Ciregia put clown colleagues in a pressure-cooker situation that ends very messily (honk honk). In the second, De Felici sends an astronaut on a race to trace the origins of a mysterious object from space that’s quietly wiping out humanity.
“This next volume of Creepshow is bringing a new batch of truly horrific, strange, and darkly oddball stories that speak to the existential dreads of this moment,” said Diegs Lopez, Senior Editor at Skybound. “Featuring A-list and fresh rising star talent, the creative teams for this volume have pushed the boundaries of the horror genre to some very exciting places.”
Creepshow Vol. 5 #1 ships with three cover variants: Cover A by Kyle Hotz (The Incredible Hulk) and Dan Brown (Ghost Rider), Cover B by Francesca Ciregia, and Cover C by Luana Vecchio (Lovesick). The full volume boasts an all-star roster that also includes Stephanie Williams (Wonder Woman), Tyler Crook (Harrow County), Joshua Hixson (The Deviant), and Leandro Fernandez (The Old Guard), among others.
Creepshow Vol. 5 #1 is priced at $3.99 and available at comic shops and digitally via Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play starting September 16. Previous collected volumes are available now wherever books are sold.
