Danielle Harris and Michael Ironside have joined the cast of Marrow, a true-crime inspired horror thriller set to film this summer between Dallas and Oklahoma.

The film stars Jessica Dawn Willis (The Woman Under the Stage) as Jamie Foster, a former vlogger attempting to revive her career by inviting her stalker onto her show. As her views rise, she begins to suspect that her stalker may be a serial killer targeting influencers, forcing her to question not only his identity but his humanity.

Harris will portray Camilla, Jamie’s wealthy but ruthless aunt whose threats to withdraw financial support drive Jamie’s desperation. Ironside will take on the role of Dr. Jonathan Myers, a disgraced psychiatrist who previously survived an encounter with Jamie’s stalker.

Directed by Mitch McLeod, Marrow was co-written by McLeod and Willis, with contributions from horror novelist and scholar Preston Fassel. The project is produced by McLeod’s Absentia Pictures alongside producers Willis, Matthew Tompkins, Jon Keeyes, and executive producer Carlos Cortez. The film also reunites McLeod with The Woman Under the Stage cast members Ashley Spicer and Phil Harrison. Additional cast includes Abby Joy, Kristin Payne, Vanessa Sun, Rachel Rice, and Marc Rouse.

McLeod explained that the film draws from real stalking cases in small-town Texas during the early 2000s, reframed through a modern lens. “I’ve never seen the dark side of these explored in film, from both the lens of the audience and those telling these stories,” he noted.

Principal photography begins in July in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, with second-unit filming scheduled for August in Dallas.
