Lightbulb Film Distribution has set home video dates for Dead Lover, the darkly comic horror film from writer-director Grace Glowicki. Following a celebrated festival run and a theatrical release that included an optional scratch-and-sniff Stink-O-Vision experience, Dead Lover arrives on digital platforms on June 22, 2026, with a Blu-ray release to follow on September 7.

Dead Lover centers on a lonely gravedigger whose perpetual stench of corpses has long kept love at a distance. When she finally meets her dream man, the joy is short-lived β he drowns at sea before their romance can truly begin. Refusing to accept death as the end of things, she decides to hold on. The film is described as a horror-comedy in the tradition of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Death Becomes Her, and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein β equal parts grotesque, tender, and genuinely funny.
Glowicki (Tito, The Body Remembers When the World Broke Open) wrote, directed, and stars in the film alongside Ben Petrie, Leah Doz, and Lowen Morrow, with each actor taking on multiple roles across the story. Dead Lover premiered at Sundance and subsequently played SXSW, Night Visions, TIFF, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, and Soho Horror Festival, building a devoted following on the genre festival circuit.
The film arrives on digital June 22, 2026, from Lightbulb Film Distribution, with a Blu-ray edition to follow September 7.
