Epic Pictures and Dread have set an October 13, 2026 release in select theaters and on digital platforms for Devour, a supernatural heavy metal horror film that pits an all-girl heavy metal band against vampires, cannibals, a werewolf, and a warlock. Dread, the genre label behind the original Terrifier, is releasing the film.

Playing in the vein of Deathgasm, Devour follows a band left stranded after a disastrous gig. When the musicians stop to help a woman in danger, they end up trapped in a remote town run by a powerful warlock. With no way out, the band has to tap into dark powers of its own to survive until morning.

Scott B. Hansen (Bad Candy, The Possession Experiment) directs from a screenplay by Desiree Hansen (Bad Candy). The cast includes KateLynn E. Newberry (Juror #2), Gus Langley (Day of Reckoning), Alexandra Lucchesi (Jack Reacher: Never Go Back), Chelsea LeSage (21st Century Demon Hunter), Gaven Wilde (The Righteous Gemstones, Halloween Kills), and Heidi Shepherd, vocalist for the band Butcher Babies. Hansen has also directed music videos for Meshuggah, Willie Nelson, and Fear Factory, and that background feeds the band’s identity on screen.

The film leans on practical effects, with handcrafted creature suits, prosthetics, makeup, and animatronics led by designer Wayne Anderson (Stranger Things, IT: Chapter One, Avatar: The Way of Water) and the OX FX team. Devour has collected more than a dozen festival selections, including Best Feature, Best Director, and Best Vampire Feature at the Freakshow Horror Film Festival, and earned an endorsement from Chris Jericho on his Talk Is Jericho podcast. The runtime is 113 minutes.
