Universal Pictures has announced Disclosure Day, a new original event film created and directed by Steven Spielberg. Positioned as a global-scale story centered on humanity confronting the possibility that we are not alone, the project signals Spielberg’s return to large-format speculative storytelling.

The film features an ensemble led by Emily Blunt, alongside Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo. The screenplay comes from David Koepp, whose previous collaborations with Spielberg include Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The film is produced by Kristie Macosko Krieger and Spielberg under the Amblin Entertainment banner.
