The Fantasia International Film Festival has unveiled its first wave of premiere titles for its milestone 30th edition, running July 16 through August 2, 2026, at Concordia Hall and the J.A. de Sève cinemas in Montréal, with additional screenings at the Cinéma du Musée. The full lineup will be announced in early July.

Leading the opening announcement is Polish director Agnieszka Smoczyńska’s (The Lure, The Silent Twins, Fugue) Hot Spot, a near-future noir in which a private eye investigates a murder in a society ruled by sentient A.I., starring Noomi Rapace (Prometheus) and Andrzej Konopka. Equally anticipated is The Last Temptation of Becky, the next chapter of the Becky franchise from director Jenn Wexler (The Ranger, The Sacrifice Game), with Lulu Wilson (The Haunting of Hill House) returning as Becky Hooper — now a CIA agent — and Neil Patrick Harris playing a neo-Nazi villain with “camp brilliance.” Both films will have their World Premieres in the Cheval Noir Competition.

Horror on multiple fronts fills out the slate. Kasper Kalle’s No Rest for the Wicked is a Queer Danish vampire film set in the 19th-century Faroe Islands — described as evoking Robert Eggers in atmosphere. Korean thriller The Eyes, a reinterpretation of Spanish horror Julia’s Eyes, stars Shin Min-a in a dual role as a blind woman racing to solve her twin’s apparent murder before losing her sight. FERINE, Andrea Corsini’s Italian horror film scored by legend Pino Donaggio (Don’t Look Now, The Howling), stars Carolyn Bracken (Oddity) as a grieving art collector whose grief awakens something feral and predatory within her.

Other announced titles include Home Bodies, Casey Walker’s (The Void producer, In a Violent Nature producer) surreal sci-fi thriller about twins raised in isolation; Sour Minnows, Harrison Atkins’ psychedelic follow-up to Lace Crater; the Indonesian body-horror Sleep No More from director Edwin; and holiday horror Unholy Night, Michael Gabriele’s feature debut about a grandmother who refuses to stay dead on Christmas Eve. Also announced is Rubberhead: The Life & Monsters of Steve Johnson, a documentary portrait of the legendary FX artist behind creatures for Carpenter, Cronenberg, Spielberg, and del Toro.
