Dark Atlantic Studios has released the first trailer for Strawstalker, the latest feature from writer and director George Henry Horton. The film is scheduled to be released later this spring through Indie Rights.

Strawstalker follows Henry and Haley, a rising content creator couple who relocate to a new home in Oak Bridge, a seemingly perfect neighborhood in Los Angeles. Intent on documenting their life for online audiences, the pair film nearly every moment of their move into the community.
Their plans begin to unravel when a mysterious scarecrow appears behind their backyard hedge. Henry assumes the strange figure is part of a prank designed to go viral, while Haley continues filming as the situation escalates. As unsettling events begin to appear in the footage, a local warning suggests the creature may be targeting people who are not what they claim to be.
The story blends found footage horror with satire of online persona culture, placing the couple in a neighborhood that appears calm on the surface but hides a long memory beneath its carefully presented image.
According to Horton, the concept for Strawstalker grew from his interest in the history of Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley, once farmland and now a landscape of suburban development and performance-driven lifestyles. The film’s fictional Oak Bridge neighborhood reflects those themes while introducing a supernatural threat tied to the land itself.
