Freakling Bros. Horror Shows, a Las Vegas Halloween institution for more than 30 years, has announced its return in 2026 with The Nest—a brand-new haunted attraction designed to push the boundaries of immersive horror. Joining the lineup alongside Gates of Hell and Coven of 13, The Nest will debut as the next evolution of the Freakling Bros. experience.
The 2025 Halloween season will mark a brief hiatus for the haunt collective as the team develops this ambitious new concept to replace the long-running Castle Vampyre. According to co-owner and creative director JT Mollner, the break is an opportunity for transformation. “After more than three decades of screams, we made the difficult decision to take a year off—not to rest, but to evolve,” Mollner said. “Our fans deserve nothing less than the full Freakling Bros. experience, and we’re excited to deliver a show that is truly horrifying and spectacular in 2026.”
Described as “feeding time for Las Vegas,” The Nest will introduce a storyline involving infestation, infection, and replication. The experience promises to retain the fantastical spirit of Castle Vampyre while unveiling a reimagined layout, advanced effects, and new themes that redefine what audiences can expect from a haunted attraction.
In addition to The Nest, Freakling Bros. will return with Nevada’s only R-rated haunted house, Gates of Hell, and the experimental Coven of 13. The creative team, which includes Mollner—currently focused on his growing film career with Strange Darling and an upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s The Long Walk—is channeling the downtime into building something that will challenge and thrill visitors in 2026.
