William Bagley’s horror comedy HOLD THE FORT is heading to Digital HD on June 23, 2026 — and if you’ve ever fantasized about a homeowners association meeting going supernaturally sideways, this is the film for you. The story follows new neighbors who find themselves up against something far worse than noise complaints or unkempt lawns: the literal gates of hell.
HOLD THE FORT stars Chris Mayers, Haley Leary, and Julian Smith in a comedic horror outing that leans into the suburban nightmare premise with gusto. Written and directed by Bagley, the film mines the mundane rules and petty grievances of HOA life for comedic and horrific effect, delivering what early word describes as a surprisingly effective genre blend.
The film arrives with genuine buzz. Critics have called it “[y]ou’re going to love this one” — exactly the kind of word-of-mouth that helps a scrappy indie horror comedy find its audience. HOLD THE FORT doesn’t have a major distributor backing it; this is an independent production rolling straight to digital for horror fans to discover on their own schedules.
