Warner Bros. Pictures has released the official trailer for The End of Oak Street, the new supernatural thriller from writer-director David Robert Mitchell (It Follows, Under the Silver Lake). The film opens exclusively in theaters and IMAX in North America on August 14, 2026.
When a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports an entire neighborhood to somewhere unknown, the Platt family must stick together to survive in surroundings that have become completely unrecognizable. What begins as a suburban horror becomes something far stranger — and more threatening — as the family’s bonds and sanity are pushed to their limits.
Mitchell directs from his own screenplay, reuniting with cinematographer Michael Gioulakis, who also shot It Follows, and composer Michael Giacchino (Up, Doctor Strange). The End of Oak Street stars Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor as the Platt parents, with Maisy Stella (Nashville) and Christian Convery (Sweet Tooth) rounding out the family. The film is produced by J.J. Abrams and Hannah Minghella through Bad Robot, alongside Jon Cohen, David Robert Mitchell, Matt Jackson, and Tommy Harper, with Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, Joanne Lee, and Leeann Stonebreaker serving as executive producers.
