Hide, a new horror short inspired by true events, will make its world premiere at Screamfest 2025, running October 8–17 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Written and produced by Justin Kohlas under his newly formed KimberMark banner, Hide marks his first original horror project following his work on NCIS: Los Angeles. The film is directed by Cory Pratt, previously recognized at Nightmares Film Festival for his short Doll. Pratt draws from both his filmmaking and culinary backgrounds to shape the film’s unsettling dinner party setting.
The story follows Levi, a handyman who breaks into the home of one of his wealthy clients, only to be trapped inside when the family unexpectedly returns to host a lavish dinner party. What begins as a robbery turns into a nightmare as Levi realizes he is not the only one concealing dangerous secrets.
Director Cory Pratt commented, “The culture of horror is in a really fun place right now. Lots of genres are mixing and colliding in interesting ways. I wanted to subvert the tropes of the ‘home invasion’ sub-genre and I think we made something with a great atmosphere.”
The cast includes Matthew Mikita (Euphoria), Lara Clear (Shadow Wolves), Keenan Buchanan (NCIS: Los Angeles), Adam Key (NCIS: Los Angeles), Briana Marin (The Leftovers), Liza Dean (Stumptown), Kelby Keenan (NCIS: Los Angeles), Alycia Kunkle (Claire in Motion), and introduces Sierra Rain Russotti in her screen debut.
Hide was produced by Justin Kohlas, Keenan Buchanan, Matthew Mikita, and Willem Holzer.
