Dark Sky Films releases Human, a blood-soaked supernatural horror film written and directed by Matt Stuertz (Tonight She Comes, RWD), in select theaters and on VOD and digital platforms on October 23, 2026.

Human follows Dani Ferris (Jackie Kelly, Hag, In Memory Of), who is alone and exhausted past the point of reason. She wanted a little digital debauchery before bed. What she gets is a blood-drenched supernatural nightmare of horrors and heartbreak. With the claustrophobic feel of a single-night thriller, the film throws its heroine into a story where every relationship is a gamble and every hour brings a new threat.

Stuertz also produced the film with David Christopher Pitt. The cast includes Brock Russell (Tonight She Comes), Cecily Dowd (Miss Valentine), Jeffrey Decker (Relentless), and Mia Sydney (Mendocino). The film runs 107 minutes.

Human previously played Fright Fest and Obscura Film Fest. The Hollywood News praised its “constant tonal whiplashes” and “truly stomach-turning practical effects,” while Starburst called it “relentless” and Fright Club said it was “one of the craziest films we’ve seen!”
