The official teaser trailer for I Have Proof, the stripped-down psychological horror film from writer-director James Cullen Bressack (Fortress, Survive the Game, Hate Crime), is now live. The film makes its world premiere on September 21, 2026, at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, as an Official Selection in the festival’s Burnt Ends lineup.

Shot on analog VHS-C, I Have Proof keeps its story under wraps. The official synopsis offers only this: “Alex has proof. He needs you to see it.” The filmmakers call it a psychological descent where reality is never quite what it seems.

Larsen Deane (Ford v Ferrari, The Shards) stars as Alex and also served as the film’s director of photography. The cast includes Lilly Van der Meer (Neighbours) as Mary, Augie Duke as Bex, B.J. Hendricks (Darkness of Man) as Johnny, Kelly Lynn Reiter as Mom, and David Josh Lawrence (The Workout) as the voice of Father Jacob and Uncle. The 77-minute film is a Sandaled Kid and JCB Pictures production in association with Robotic Donut. Bressack produced alongside Lawrence and R.J. Cooper, who also edited.
Bressack describes the project as a return to the grungy, raw horror of his early career, sparked by a Letterboxd review from a longtime viewer who missed those films.
“In a time when so much of what we see can be AI generated, manipulated, or polished into perfection, I wanted this movie to feel like something that actually existed,” said James Cullen Bressack, writer and director of I Have Proof. “The less you know, the better.”
Hendricks and Bressack previously brought The Workout to Fantastic Fest, making I Have Proof a return trip for the pair.
