Netflix has dated the second season of animated horror comedy Haunted Hotel for October 9, 2026, and released a teaser putting demon-in-a-small-boy Abaddon front and center just in time for Halloween. The new season runs eight half-hour episodes.

Haunted Hotel follows Katherine, a single mother trying to run the world’s most haunted hotel alongside her ghost brother, her two kids, a demon trapped in a little boy’s body, and a steadily growing population of ghosts, monsters, and supernatural disasters. The first season leaned hard into the gag that the family’s biggest problem is not the hauntings but each other, and season two looks to keep that balance of genuine creature design and domestic chaos.
The series comes from creator Matt Roller (Rick and Morty), with Chris McKenna, Dan Harmon (Rick and Morty), Steve Levy, and Roller executive producing. Erica Hayes (Rick and Morty) returns as supervising director. Animation is handled by Titmouse, with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina also serving as executive producers.
The voice cast includes Will Forte as Nathan, Eliza Coupe as Katherine, Skyler Gisondo as Ben, Natalie Palamides as Esther, and Jimmi Simpson as Abaddon.
Haunted Hotel Season 2 premieres on Netflix on October 9, 2026.
