An immersive theatrical horror experience based on the “Insidious” film franchise is set to tour over 80 cities across North America starting in January 2025. Titled Insidious: The Further You Fear, the live show brings the haunting elements of the successful Blumhouse films directly to theater audiences. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning October 25th, and more information, including tour dates, can be found at www.insidious-live.com.
This innovative production is a collaboration between GEA Live, Blumhouse, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and RoadCo Entertainment. Designed to blur the lines between reality and fiction, the experience immerses the audience in the unfolding terror without the separation of a fourth wall. Attendees become integral to the story, interacting face-to-face with protagonists and encountering iconic characters like the Bride in Black, the Wheezing Man, and the Lipstick-Faced Demon.
“Bringing audiences deeper into The Further with this live experience has been an exciting challenge, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how they respond,” said Jason Blum, Founder and CEO of Blumhouse. “Insidious is one of our most popular franchises, with a sixth installment premiering next year, and this is a fresh and frightening new way for fans to experience it.”
Co-Director Toby Park added, “We’re excited to bring the eerie and otherworldly thrills of Insidious to cities around the country.” The show features a new story within the Insidious universe, hosted by the “real” Specs and Tucker—the paranormal investigators who inspired the first movie. What begins as the “Spectral Sightings Road Show” quickly turns unsettling when a paranormal demonstration goes awry, unleashing dark forces and trapping the audience in a haunted theater.
With the franchise having grossed over $742 million across five films, Insidious: The Further You Fear aims to offer both fans and newcomers a unique live horror experience. Floris Douwes of GEA Live commented, “We have brought some of the most respected names in the horror and entertainment industries together to make this groundbreaking show possible and ensure a hauntingly unforgettable experience for audiences everywhere.”
