A new trailer and official one-sheet have been released for Other Mommy, the upcoming supernatural horror film from director Rob Savage. Set to arrive exclusively in theaters on October 9, the film adapts Josh Malerman’s bestselling novel Incidents Around the House and brings together Blumhouse Atomic Monster and producer James Wan for a new story centered on family, fear, and an unsettling presence inside the home.
Other Mommy follows Bela, a young girl who forms a bond with a mysterious entity living in her house. The figure looks almost identical to Bela’s own mother, creating an increasingly unsettling situation as the line between reality and something far more sinister begins to blur.
Jessica Chastain stars in dual roles as Bela’s mother and the entity known as “Other Mommy.” She is joined by Jay Duplass as Bela’s father, Daddo, and Arabella Olivia Clark as Bela. The supporting cast also includes Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed, and Karen Allen.
The film is directed by Rob Savage (Host, The Boogeyman) from a screenplay by Nathan Elston, based on Malerman’s New York Times bestselling novel Incidents Around the House. James Wan produces through Blumhouse Atomic Monster, with Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Rob Savage, Josh Malerman, and Ryan Lewis serving as executive producers.
