Black Fawn Distribution has announced a new partnership with Eli Roth’s recently launched company, The Horror Section, to distribute Joe Begos’ latest feature Jimmy and Stiggs across Canada. The film will open with an exclusive theatrical release beginning September 25, 2025, following its UK premiere at FrightFest in London.

Written, directed, and starring Joe Begos (Bliss, Christmas Bloody Christmas, VFW), the film also features Matt Mercer (Contracted). Jimmy and Stiggs follows Jimmy Lang (Begos), an out-of-work filmmaker who spirals into a destructive bender after receiving devastating news. During his downward spiral, Jimmy claims to have been abducted by aliens. Convinced of their return, he reconnects with estranged friend Stiggs (Mercer) to prepare for war.

The theatrical run will launch in Toronto on September 25, with additional screenings in Vancouver at The Rio, Ottawa at The Mayfair, and Hamilton at The Playhouse. More Canadian dates are expected to be announced soon.

The film’s theatrical presentation will include additional content for audiences, such as fake trailers, a post-credits making-of featurette, and special messages from the filmmakers, offering an expanded in-theater experience.

Produced by Joe Begos, Josh Ethier, Matt Mercer, Josh Russell, and Sierra Russell, with executive producers including Eli Roth, Connor DiGregorio, Mark M. Greene, Nicholas McCarthy, Jon Schnaars, Raj Brinder Singh, and Christopher Woodrow, Jimmy and Stiggs marks the first collaboration between The Horror Section and Black Fawn Distribution.

Eli Roth shared his enthusiasm for the partnership, noting Black Fawn’s ability to connect with Canadian genre fans: “They completely understand this audience and know how to turn this type of film into an event.”
