The holidays are set to shine bright across Southern California as Knott’s Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain welcome guests to their annual winter celebrations — Knott’s Merry Farm and Holiday in the Park. Both parks promise immersive seasonal experiences filled with festive entertainment, dazzling lights, and family traditions.
Knott’s Merry Farm
At Knott’s Merry Farm, running November 21 through January 4, guests can enjoy returning favorites like Snoopy’s Night Before Christmas, Snow and Glow in Ghost Town, and the nightly Tis the Season Tree Lighting in Calico Park. The park also introduces a new holiday centerpiece — a towering Christmas tree decorated with more than 7,000 lights, 100 hand-crafted candles, and Victorian-inspired wood ornaments. Festive shows include A Calico Christmas Carol and The Gift of the Magi, 1885 at the Bird Cage Theatre, while the Ghost Town Carolers bring classic holiday songs to life. Food highlights include tamale fries, turkey corn dogs with stuffing-seasoned batter, and gingerbread cheesecake dip. For those wanting to extend their stay, the Knott’s Merry Farm Holiday Package at The Knott’s Hotel offers themed accommodations and park admission.
Holiday in the Park
Meanwhile, at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Holiday in the Park runs select evenings November 27 through January 4, transforming the theme park into a landscape of over two million lights, massive ornaments, and festive décor. The event features an all-new Tree Lighting Ceremony in the DC Universe area and Oh Santa! A Holiday Spectacular, hosted by Jack Frost and Snickerdoodle. Returning entertainment includes Reindeer Dash, HollyRock! in the Gleampunk District, and Wishing Ridge, where synchronized lights and music create a memorable display. Families can visit Santa, make crafts with Mrs. Claus, enjoy live music, and indulge in holiday-themed dishes such as pozole, glazed ribs, and s’mores funnel cake.
Both parks offer seasonal dining, exclusive merchandise, and limited-time entertainment perfect for families and fans of holiday fun. For more details, visit knotts.com and sixflags.com/magicmountain/events
