Ignite Films and Eagle Rock Pictures have announced that Bride of Re-Animator, director Brian Yuzna’s cult sequel to Re-Animator, is undergoing a brand-new 4K restoration ahead of its planned release in early 2026. The news was shared by Jan Willem Bosman Jansen of Ignite Films and Jim Quan of Eagle Rock Pictures during the Fantastic Pavilion at the Marché du Film in Cannes.

Following the success of Ignite’s acclaimed restorations of Re-Animator and Invaders From Mars, this latest project continues the label’s mission to preserve and elevate genre cinema through premium-quality releases. Bride of Re-Animator will receive a deluxe home video edition, similar in scope to the Re-Animator 40th Anniversary Edition, featuring exclusive new bonus materials, collector’s packaging, and other surprises for fans of the franchise.
Set eight months after the Miskatonic Massacre, the film reunites Jeffrey Combs and Bruce Abbott as Doctors Herbert West and Dan Cain, whose experiments in reanimation lead to a grim pursuit: the creation of life from the remnants of the dead. Known for its elaborate practical effects from Screaming Mad George and KNB EFX Group, the film expands the wild, darkly comic world established by Stuart Gordon’s original classic.
The Bride of Re-Animator 4K release marks Ignite Films and Eagle Rock Pictures’ third major restoration project, following their award-winning 70th Anniversary 4K edition of Invaders From Mars, which earned recognition from the SATURN Awards, Il Cinema Ritrovato DVD Awards, and the Hollywood Professional Association.
Fans can expect Bride of Re-Animator to resurrect the legacy of 1980s body horror for a new generation of viewers when it arrives in early 2026.
