Well Go USA Entertainment has announced the North American release date for Legend of the White Dragon, the superhero action film starring Jason David Frank in his final film performance. The film will arrive in select theaters on August 28, 2026, which coincides with National Power Rangers Day.

Directed by Aaron Schoenke and Sean Schoenke, Legend of the White Dragon follows Erik Reed, a once-celebrated hero forced into hiding after a destructive battle exposes his identity and leaves part of Virtuo City in ruins. Previously known as the White Dragon, Erik now lives with the consequences of that event, blamed for the devastation and separated from the life and family he once knew. As corruption spreads through the city, he is drawn back into a conflict that forces him to confront his past and determine whether the White Dragon still has a place in a city that has already judged him.
Aaron Schoenke of Bat in the Sun Productions co-directed, co-wrote, and also appears in the film alongside Jason David Frank, widely known for his role in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The cast also includes Rachele Brooke Smith (Center Stage: Turn It Up), Jenna Frank, Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor (The Babysitter), Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs), David Ramsey (Arrow), and Mark Dacascos (John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum).
Several actors from the Power Rangers franchise also appear in the film, including Jason Faunt (Power Rangers: Time Force), Ciara Hanna (Power Rangers: Megaforce), and Cerina Vincent (Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy).
According to Doris Pfardrescher, President and CEO of Well Go USA Entertainment, the film serves as both an action-driven superhero story and a tribute to Jason David Frank’s legacy. Lead producer Chris Jay noted that the partnership with Well Go USA follows a long development journey for the project and reflects confidence in the distributor’s ability to reach the film’s audience.
