Cranked Up Films will release Alex Noyer’s Finnish folklore horror film Love Is the Monster on VOD on June 23, 2026, available to rent or own on Prime Video and other digital platforms. Raven Banner Entertainment is handling the Canadian release.
Love Is the Monster follows Ana (Madeline Zima) and Justin (Leonardo Nam), a couple rocked by infidelity who travel to an exclusive retreat in Finland, hoping to repair their relationship under the midnight sun. The retreat is run by a shaman and healer named Tiina, whose teachings are inspired by Lempo — the gender-undefined deity of love and fertility from the ancient Finnish national epic, The Kalevala. What begins as a chance at renewal quickly becomes something far more sinister as the couple finds themselves ensnared in an ancient and deadly plot.
Love Is the Monster arrives on digital platforms on June 23, 2026. Find it on Prime Video to rent or own.
