Dutch developer Wispfire and indie publishing label Fellow Traveller (Citizen Sleeper, Paradise Killer) have revealed Red Kiss, a dark and stylish narrative RPG in which players join a house of vampire spies navigating espionage and desire across the graffiti-filled streets of 1980s Berlin. The game was unveiled during the PC Gaming Show.

Red Kiss blends strategic gameplay, seductive character relationships, and reactive RPG storytelling into a blood-fuelled thriller about loyalty, paranoia, and dangerous appetites. Players take on the role of an Augur — a newly turned vampire capable of telepathically directing agents across Berlin’s underground rail network. Recruited by a mysterious and manipulative figure known only as “Daddy,” the Augur builds a found family of dangerous operatives while balancing covert missions, personal blood bonds, and the relentless pressure of life at the end of the Cold War.

Between heists and clandestine operations, players deepen relationships through intimate conversations and late-night missions that unlock new abilities and reshape the story. Wispfire has developed a novel character performance approach using Live2D animation combined with motion capture technology to bring the 2D cast to life with unusual emotional depth.

Wispfire is a queer-led studio based in Utrecht, Netherlands, known for Herald: An Interactive Period Drama. Red Kiss is their most ambitious project to date.
