After a nearly two-year festival run, Alexandrea Meyer’s debut short film Love You Forever is arriving online with Film Shortage on June 11, 2026. The 16-minute psychological drama world-premiered at the Oldenburg International Film Festival in September 2024 and has since earned selections at Insólito Festival de Cine Fantástico and a Best Performance Award at NOT Film Fest.
Love You Forever is written and directed by Meyer, who also stars as Shannon — a woman whose fragile exterior conceals a roiling undercurrent of sorrow and rage. The film digs into motherhood and the torment of female madness, exploring how women confront and compartmentalize trauma across generations. Meyer, a 2023 Seymour Cassel Award winner, brings an intensely personal energy to the role, and the result is a psychological chamber piece that refuses to let its subject remain invisible.
Meyer is known to HorrorBuzz readers from her performance in Beautiful Friend (2023, directed by Truman Kewley), where she played Madison Richards.
