Writer Stephen Baker, a HorrorBuzz contributor, has launched a Kickstarter campaign for My Little Boy #1, a new horror-noir mini series. Baker is teaming with artist Hernan Gonzalez (Star Trek: The Last Starship) and publisher Warden Comics.
The premise: after the death of his wife and young son, mafia hitman Eddie “The Deep Sleep” Cosgrove flees to a remote cabin. Thirty years later, the syndicate he betrayed has tracked him down for revenge. But Eddie has been hiding a secret more monstrous than any crime boss, and it does not take kindly to anyone threatening dad.
“My Little Boy #1 taps into many different themes including grief, fatherhood, and how some choices create an inescapable blowback that affects not only ourselves, but those closest to us,” Baker said. He describes Eddie as a character defined by contradictions, “the extreme end of that spectrum.”
Issue #1 is 100 percent complete and ready to be printed and shipped to backers. Reward tiers include cover options and digital and physical comic packages, plus more than 300 pages of comics from the Warden Comics vault.
