Neon has released the official teaser poster and a set of first-look stills for ALPHA, the upcoming feature from filmmaker Julia Ducournau. The film follows Alpha, a troubled 13-year-old whose life with her single mother is thrown into turmoil after she arrives home from school bearing a mysterious tattoo on her arm.
The cast brings together Tahar Rahim, Golshifteh Farahani, Mélissa Boros, Emma Mackey, Finnegan Oldfield, and Louai El Amrousy. The new imagery offers an early glimpse of the film’s tense family dynamic and the unsettling mark that sparks the story’s conflict.
ALPHA will screen at the Cannes Film Festival, positioning the title for international attention as buyers and critics converge on the Croisette. With its focus on identity, parent-child bonds, and a disruptive coming-of-age twist, the project signals another provocative entry in Ducournau’s growing body of work. Further festival dates and release plans are expected to be announced following its Cannes debut.
