Scatena & Rosner Films has announced that New Year’s Absolution, a horror-thriller from director Nick Leisure, arrives on VOD on July 14, 2026 — just in time for the dog days of summer.

The film follows a group of longtime friends who gather for their annual New Year’s Eve party — a tradition that includes exchanging anonymous resolutions. This year, one of those resolutions reads “Kill Someone.” When the note lands in the hands of stressed police officer Jacob, who takes it as a direct threat, a cascade of tragic events begins to unravel the evening. Accidental deaths, desperate cover-ups, and mounting paranoia pull the group apart, leaving only two survivors standing when the smoke clears.
Nick Leisure directs. The cast includes Michael Copon, Joel Brady, Josh Gilmer, Rafael Siegel, Shala White, Victorya Brandart, Lamondo Hill II, and Siddalee Diaz.
