As Halloween season approaches, Titan Comics is preparing to release a new graphic novel that revisits the work and legacy of one of literature’s most enduring voices. Edgar Allan Poe: A Tale of Mystery and Intervention arrives on October 6, 2026, bringing readers a blend of humor, melancholy, and visual storytelling inspired by the author’s classic tales.

EDGAR ALLAN POE: A TALE OF MYSTERY AND INTERVENTION Trailer | New Graphic Novel from Norm Konyu
Created by Aurora Award-winning author and artist Norm Konyu, the 56-page hardcover graphic novel imagines a meeting between theatrical producer Thomas Evans and his longtime friend, Edgar Allan Poe. Set within the atmosphere of a gloomy tavern, Thomas attempts to steer Poe away from despair, encouraging him to consider hope and possibility while the writer’s familiar obsessions with death and the macabre continue to emerge.

Throughout the book, Konyu reinterprets several of Poe’s most celebrated works, including The Raven, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Fall of the House of Usher, and The Masque of the Red Death. Each double-page spread offers a new artistic take on the stories, combining recognizable imagery with playful and unexpected twists.

The graphic novel concludes with a postscript from Konyu that explores the literary references woven throughout the book and examines Poe’s influence on modern horror and the creator’s own work. Published by Titan Comics, Edgar Allan Poe: A Tale of Mystery and Intervention will be available in hardcover for $19.99 beginning October 6, 2026.

For readers looking to celebrate the season with a fresh perspective on a literary icon, Konyu’s latest work offers a distinctive tribute to the strange, the mysterious, and the stories that continue to resonate across generations.
