The official trailer has arrived for Forbidden Fruits, the latest genre feature from director Meredith Alloway. Written by Alloway and Lily Houghton, the film is set to make its world premiere at SXSW on March 17, 2026, before opening in theaters nationwide on March 27.

The film stars Lili Reinhart, Lola Tung, Victoria Pedretti, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Chamberlain, and Gabrielle Union. Set within the confines of a mall retail store, the story follows Free Eden employee Apple, who secretly leads a femme-centered witchy cult in the store’s basement alongside co-workers Cherry and Fig. Their carefully constructed dynamic begins to fracture when a new hire named Pumpkin questions the group’s intentions.
As tensions rise, the women must confront hidden motivations and internal conflicts, with the narrative suggesting consequences that grow increasingly dangerous. Blending psychological elements with horror themes, Forbidden Fruits positions itself as a character-driven story about power, loyalty, and identity.
